Aqua, Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Sodium Stearate, Sorbitol, Sodium Laurate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Thiosulphate, Titanium Dioxide, Etidronic Acid. MSDS White soap base without SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate / Sodium Lauryl Sulphate). This is the most popular choice for soap makers: extremely easy to work with in combination with your choice of colours, essential oils and fragrances. The base is unscented. Soap base pH 9,5-10,5. Melting point of soap base: 50-65º C.
It is recommended not to heat the soap base above 72º C, otherwise the soap base may discolour.
Soap base is very easy to use: you don’t have to bother with recipe development, it doesn’t require sodium lye, and it can be made in a variety of colours and scents. Also, the maturation time is much shorter than with conventional cold-processed soap , and the soap can be used as soon as it has set.
Soap making process:
- Take the soap base out of the packaging and cut it into small pieces so that the soap melts evenly and quickly.
- Put the soap in a bowl and heat it over a steam bath (in another bowl, boil water and place the bowl with the cut soap cubes over it). We recommend melting the soap in a steam bath rather than over direct heat to avoid overheating and discolouration. We recommend not to exceed a temperature of 72º C.
- Once the soap base has fully dissolved, apply the desired scent and colour. Stir gently to combine the soap base with the scents and colours and to prevent them from separating later.
- Pour the prepared soap into the moulds and allow to set completely. Once set, remove from the moulds and enjoy your handmade soap.
The soap base is packed in 1 kg, 6 kg or 12 kg packs.
