Jesmonite pigments

Jesmonite pigments are water-based liquid colourants designed specifically for Jesmonite composites. They allow you to produce both bright and pastel tones, adding individuality and distinction to your products. Every pigment mixes with the rest, enabling you to create personalised colour recipes.

USE

Paraffin and vegetable waxes and plastics:

Off-white shades (vanilla, ivory). . . . . . . . . . 0,004 %
Pale shades (peach, pink). . . . . . . . . . . . . 0.02%
Medium shades (red, blue, yellow). . . . . . . . . . 0,2 %
Dark shades. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0,4 %
Black . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0,6 %

- (Less dye will give a greyer shade, more dye may cause problems with the candle's combustion).

These are highly concentrated paints, with a recommended amount of 0.1-0.2% of the product to be painted. For example: for 1 kg of wax, we recommend using 2 g of liquid dye.

Factors that may affect the desired shade:

- Opaque wax, original wax colour
- Wax additives such as stearic acid, polymers and microcrystalline wax
- Aromatic oils and fragrances

We recommend testing in small batches to make sure that the waxes, aromatic oils and dye content are compatible with each other.
